The Government launch met the Mooltan and conveyed Sir Joseph and Lady Ward ashore/ thence by special train to Adelaide, where they were welcomed by the Premiers and Mayors, and afterwards lunched with the Governor. They are proceeding to Melbourne by the Mooltan this afternoon, and leave Sydney by the Maheno direct for Wellington on Saturday. AN UNFORTUNATE JETTY. Sydney, June 15. Since the Bulli jetty was washed away on April 29th its reconstruction has been' in progress. Last night a heavy sea swept away seaward the portion previously left standing, together with valuable plant and a large quantity of material employed in reconstruction. Tho damage is estimated at £8000. AN M.H.R. ABROAD. Mr Arnold, M.H.R., Now eZalaml, during his visit to Australia, investigated the working of the Board in Victoria. Ho believes its , introduction would prove of valuable assistance to the work of th-e Arbitration Court. . He is also much impressed with the good management in New South Wales. FIRE ON STEAMER. A fire broke out on the GermanAustralian steamer Virzan, loading for the Continent in Woolloomooloo Bay and Manly. It was extinguished by flooding the vessel. The extent of the damage is unknown. BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS. In the round for lightweights at the New South Wales Amateur Boxing Championships, Marks, New Zealander, in a fast and furious bout, defeated Rosenthal, giving him a bad time. Campbell, New Zealander, also won hie neat, knocking out White, of Sydney, in 30 seconds.
