APITI.
(Our Own Correspondent.) I hear that Mr L. E. Jackson is interesting himself in jegaid to Technical Classes in this district, and on Monday next will bring Mr Amos, Technical Class Director, to Apiti, for the purpose of meeting the parents or persons who are desirous of forming these classes. At a Tennis Club meeting last Friday, it was decided to hold a concert and dance soon in aid of the Section Fund Account. As a result of the tuirnament, Messrs Marfleet ajj-l Matthews ware awaided first and second prize in the gentbmen's contest, and Mrs Matthews and Miss Ross first and second for the ladies. It is intended to enlarge the court. I notice a start has been made with stumping the footpaths. Mr Astbury, of Kimbolton, took the Presbyterian Church service here lust Sun lay, instead of Mr J. A McKenzie, who has been indisposed. We have had some sharp frost 6 this w<-ek, but the intervening days aiv fine, and as a result the farmers are m S-v, ? ettin S their sheep crutcbed. *«Ed is quite plentiful so far, and the stock are looking well.
