The postponed/ Day-McLacMa n foot-running contest over three distances, 200, 300, and 400 yards, was urn off to-day on the Caledonian Ground, and was won by the visitor, 13. It. Day, who was successful in two out of the three events contested. The results were as follows: — First distance, 200 yds: L. C. McLach'an (New Zealand), 1. Time, 21 1-Ssec. Second distance, 300 yds: Day (Ireland), 1. Timo, 32 2-ssec. Third distance, 440 yds: Day, l. Time, 53 2-ssec.
