SATURDAY'S MATCHES.

SENIOR. FEILDING (16)T HUIMAI (6). Tlie above teams met on the Racecourse on Saturday, and Feilding added the fourth victory to their list. From the start it was seen the Huimai forwards were too strong for their opponents, but their backs were not at all brilliant. Hiimai made the game very fast at the start, and within ten minutes had scored a try, Tuhi taking a long pass and just reaching the line. The kick at goal failed. Feilding soon got tho ball up the field, and the Huimais lost their dash. A good passing rush, started by Ongley, who passed to Rout, to Pirani, to Price, gave the latter the opportunity to soore, which was taken. The angle being too great, the try was not converted. Verj^soon afterwards, Goodbehere crossed the line, as the result of some good passing in the threequarter line and Taylor kicked a good goal. Ongley soon got a further opportunity to feed his backs, and Price crossed the line for the second time, and the kick failing the score stood at 11 points to 3. Before the call of time, Pirani, who was playing brilliantly, twice crossed, but the first time he was recalled, and the second time two opponents, held him up, and he was j unable to ground the ball. BeginI ning the second spell, the Huimais j played fa3t football for a few minutes, and then died away as in the i first spell. The Feilding backs soon ?' ot the ball down the field, and 'irani, getting hold quite close to the line, ran round his opponents, and scored almost between the posts. ; Taylor added the two points. Huii mai made a final spurt, took the ball j up the field, and Carroll, putting in a good run, dropped the ball right behind the posts. A bad attempt to convert sent the ball under the bar, and left the score at 16 to 6. Both teams were tiring, and there was little j brilliancy in the final stages of the game. OLD BOYS (8) v. KIA TOA (3). I After one of the dreariest games ' of football seen in Palmerston, Old j Boys beat Kia Toa' by 8 points to 3.
