WEDDING BELLS.
ROLFE— HOLLEY. A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at All Saints' Church, Palmerston North yesterday, by the Rev.. C. C. Harper, the contracting parties being Henry, fifth son of Mr and Mrs Jno Rolfe, of Apiti (late of Nerriga, N.S.W.), and Margaret Elizabeth, only daughter of Mrs It. Holly, of Ashhurst. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr W. Holly, was tastefully attired in white satin trimmed with Maltese lace, and had the custorary veil and orange blossoms; she carried a handsome satin-covered prayer book, with streamers of ribbon. Miss Jane M. Rolfe, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a beautiful dress of white chiffon, with lace trimmings and hat to match, made a very efficient bridesmaid. Mr F. Rolfe (Palmerston), brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and acquitted himself creditably in his usual style. After the ceremony the party adjourned to Mr W. Cotton's Royal Cafe, where many friends and relatives assembled to partake of the many delicacies provided for the occasion. The toast of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by Mr C. W. Blackbourne, in an able manner and briefly responded to by the bridegroom. Other toasts were — Bridesmaid and Best Man, by Mr C. Tonkin; Parents of the Bride and Bridegroom, by Mr C. Tonkin. The bride's travelling dress was a handsome costume of green cloth, with cream trimmings and hat to match. Mr and Mrs Rolfe subsequently left by the evening train for Wanganui, en route for New Plymouth and Rotoiua, where the honeymoon will be spent. Many useful and valuable presents were received.
