[PBB PMMS AMOCUMON.] Wanganui, May 29. It has been generally reported that ! H. L. Abbott, of Wanganui, a member of the "All Black" team, had refused to sign the affidavit re professionalism. The secretary of Wanganui Rugby Union to-night wired the secretory of N.Z. Rugby Union as follows: "Abbott has been ill. Have now got his affidavit and am forwardi«g it t<Ml.y.» WMtport> - my At a meeting of the Boiler Rugby Union Management Committee tonight, a telegram was received from Auckland accepting Buller's^challenge for the Ranfurly shield, the match to take place at Auokland on July 18th. MaTlborough Union also- wired accepting Buller's challenge for the Seddon shield at n match fixed for the 20th July. Auckland, May 30. Twelve Auckland football representatives, who refused on Saturday, signed the declaration last evening, after the inclusion of a clause stating they had never received any moneys except the moneys received by members of the "All Black*' team horn the Rugby Union during the tonr of Great Britain. They also signed a letter to the Union. ,in which they asserted they had never, in their long service, abused the confidence placed in them, and expressing the opinion that the step taken was uncalled for.
