THE STORY OF THE KELLY GANG.
At the Drill Hall this • evening, Messrs J. and N. Tait will exhibit a biograph picture of the doings of the Kelly Gang of bushrangers, who terrorised Victoria in the late seventies. Great expense has been entailed in the production of this film. It is over 4000 feet in -length, and cost Messrs Tait over £1000 to produce. When shown in Melbourne and Adelaide its realism was such that the audiences were completely carried away, especially in the scenes where Kate Kelly is being pursued down the ranges by the police, the brave attempts at rep*—" : • the burning hotel by Rev. Father viibney, the attempted wreckage of the police train, with the pilot engine in advance, the robbing of the Euroa bank, the sticking up of Yonnghusband's Station, the murder of the police in the Wombat Ranges, the murder of Aaron Sheritt, etc. The whole film is historically correct, and gives the audience a correct view of the bush and mountainous scenery where all these events occurred. In addition to the Kelly pictures, a large number of other new films will be shown, and altogether an excellent entertainment is promised.
