Borough Elections.
At the Feilding Drill Hall to-mor-row evening, Crs. Harford and West, two of the candidates for municipal ofFce, will address the electcis on borough affairs. Considerably more interest is lent to the meeting by the fact that one of the speakers was to have been a candidate for the Mayoralty, and is, therefore, more au fait with municipal politics, especially those we have been dosed with during the last two years, than most folk. There can be no question but that nothing but benefit can arise from tho thorough ventilation of questions affecting the community, and it is in the interests of truth that both sides should be clearly explained. There are so many statements current, so much rhodomontade in circulation, that it is difficult for the casual observer to form a definite opinion, and if the meetings to be held will assist in making obscure points plain, and in giving the electors an opportunity of coming to a just conclusion, the public must benefit by them. Cr. West, who is also tt speak at the meeting, while not so prominent as Cr. Harford, has taken an active share in the work of municipal administration, and his views on borough matters cannot fail to be of interest.
