ADDINGTON MARKETS. [ran press association.] Christchurch, April 10. At the Addington live stock market to-day there waa a large yarding of all classes of stock, and a .good attendance of buyers. There was no material change in prices, and on the whole last week's rates were maintained. Fat lambs were entered in large numbers, the quality being fairly good. Export buyers operated freely, and prices were firmer than last week. Freezers brought 13s lOd to 17s, heavy-weight to 20s 2d. Store sheep were largely yarded, and included more lambs than usual, but there were no specially good lines of ewes. The demand was brisk, and a good yarding was disposed of at late rates. Two-tooth ewes brought up to 16s 9d, ewes of mixed ages 14s Id, lambs 14s 3d to 14s 4d, halfbred wethers 16s 3d. The yarding of fat sheep was fairly large. The range of prioea was: — Prime wethers 17s 6d to 23s 3d, extra heavy to 265, Lighter 16s 6d to 17s 3d, prime ewes 16s 6d to 19s 4d. extra heavy to 21s, medium 13s 6d to 16s 3d, aged and unfinished 10s to 12s 6d. There was a very poor yarding of' store cattle, and tne sale waa dull. Yearlings brought Bs, 15 to 18-month £1 2s Od to £1 16s 6d, 2-year-old steers £2 2s 6d to £2 7s 6d, 2-year-old heifers £2 2s, dry cows £3 to £3 15s. There was an exceptional entry of fat cattle, the entry comprising 406, which is the largest number entered in this department for some time. Pripes were about the same as last week. Steers made £6 15s to £11 6s, heifers £4 17s 6d to £8 17s 6d, and cows £4 16a to £8 12s 6d, equal to 20s to 22s for inferior. Beef 22s to 25s for prime, and 25s 6d to 26s 6d for extra food, per 1001 b. Veal calves made b to 16s for small sorts. 16s to 20s for medium, and up to £2 for extra good. There was a fair entry of fat pigs, but prioes were easier. The range of prices was as follows: — Baooitere 40s to 60s, extra heavy 555, equal to 4sd per lb : porkers, 28s to 375, equal from 4|d to 4Jd per lb. No large stores were entered. Small stores realised up to 18s. weanevs 8s to :^2s. A line of Berkshires from Linooln College made 50s to 655.
