WRIT FOR £3000.
The Feilding Borough Council were yesterday served with a writ by the executors of the late Chas Newall, who met with a fatal trap accident in the Borough on 16th February last, claiming the sum of £3000 damages. The case is set down for hearing at the nest sitting of the Supreme Court at Palmerston North on 4th September. A special meeting of the Council was hekl yesterday afternoon to make arrangements for defence of the action, and Dr. Findlay, of Wellington, has been retained for the Council.
