TECHNICAL CLASSES
Some people seem to be under a misapprehension as regards, the technical classes. The classes are open to all, who care to take advantage of them, and more especially to those who have left school. Those who hold Standard VI. proficiency certificates can secure free instruction in certain subjects, provided the regulations are complied with. Regular attendance is the main condition. For those who are not eligible for free places owing to the lack of a Standard VI. certificate, and who find a difficulty in paying the necessary fees, arrangements can be made for tuition on application to the Director. Tbe fees for the majority of classes will be about 10s per term. The syllabus of work for the woodwork classes is drawn up to meet the requirements of the City and Qqilds of London examination, but tbe work is also adapted to suit amateurs, especially those who wish to make up their own work for tbe wood carving classes. The matriculation and Civil Service class will meet this evening at 7; the arithmetic and shorthand classes will continue to morrow evening, and English and book-keeping on Friday.
