DISASTROUS BOSH FIRES.
Six Children Perish. Telegraph Preis Association. Copyright Sydney, January 24. The heat in the country is terrific. A bash fire in the Condoblin district did great damage. Tolling* station lost twenty thousand acres oi grass. A father and two sons, going to the assistance of their neighbours, rode for their lives ahead of a wall of fire for seven miles There they found a tank and took refuge in the water for five hours. Two girls, the eldest thirteen, have been arrested for starting this fire ; the parents have also been ar« rested for aiding and abetting them. Melboubne, January 24. Six children have perished in the bush fire at Mount Fatigue, Gipps* land. | Others are missing, but no parti* oulars are available.
