Father Gapon In Evidence The Czar And His Troops Received Dec 7, 8.46 a.m. St. Petersburg, Deo. 6. M. Rouvier's statement that the payment of the Russian coupons is Sisuredfor two or three years has steadied the Bourses. One thousand workmen in St Petersburg declined to listen to social or democrat speeches, the latter putting their political chimeras in the forefront instead of economic salvation. The meeting resolved to form monster unions in pursuance of Father Qapon's advice, and urged Oount Witte to grant an amnesty to Father Gapon. The latter's name was frequently and boisterously oheered. Father Gapon was present at the meeting, but was not recognised. Similar meetings were held elsewhere. The Novoe Vremya abandons the Government. L denounces the pro hibition of >he Postal and Telegraph Union. While reviewing on Monday the bimononska regiment, suspected of disaffection, the fzar passed bare headed along the lines with a Bis hop. As the latter, in course of the religious service, sprinkled the men with holy water, the Czar delivered a vigorous speech and drank the regiment's health. The Military Telegraph maintains communication with Warsaw, Peters trop, Tsarskelae and the Govern ment offices The public are deprived of the use of the wires owing to the Govern meut monopolising them. The State Bank employees have formed a Union and invite the provincial branches to join. Warsaw telegrams are reaching Dantzig.
