WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.

» The Wellington Land Board met yesterday. Present — Messrs J. Strauchon (Commissioner), A. Reese, T. H. Robinson, and J. Dawson. Transfers of various lands were proved as between parties named as follows :— F W Smith to A Fraser (Umutoi) ; J Turner to J Kinkead (Umutoi) ; F W VVimoski to 0 F Macartney (Haufcapu) ; F Hickford to C McEinnon (Umutoi) ; J Green to R Tansey (Hautapu). The Scenery Commissioners wrote stating that they considered the whole of section 40f, block 10, Hautapu, should be reserved for scenery purposes. Resolved to advise J. Sullivan 'accordingly, and that his application for part of the section could not be entertained. It was resolved to offer a lease of sections 1857 and 136, Bunnythorpe, by public tender for seven years at an upset rental of £1 4s 6d. The Board adjourned until Thursday, January 4th.
