At the Police Court today a ypung .'sailor named Henry Collins pleaded guilty to a oharge of attempting suicide on Monday evening. It wss stated that Collins visited s house in Ireland-street, snd had sn alteroation with a msn wbo wss keeping company with s young woman, wbo resided tbere. Defendant wished to psy attentions to tbe woman, bnt she was unwilling, and during the arguement defendant pulled out a revolver loaded in fivo chambers and turned it upon his breast The woman knocked the revolver aside, preventing defendant norn carrying out his delated purpose. Defendant was liberated and ordered to oome up for sentenoa when oalled upon.
