A BARQUE ASHORE.
Telegraph Presi Association Cod** riyht Dunedin, Last Night. News has been received that the barque County of Ayr, Captain Tulloch, which sailed yesterday for Lyttelton with part of an original cargo from Port Esperan.ee, has been wrecked at tbe mouth of the Shag River, north of Shag Point, close to where the barque Antioche Accame was wrecked about four years ago. It is stated that up to seven o'clock none of the crew had got ashore. One of the masts was broken off and tbe sea was piling ber up. The vessel, it is said, drifted ashore this morning from Shag Point. However, it is reported " tbat a boat got ashore with the ladies." The captain had his wife and daughter on board, and tbey would doubtless be tbe ladies referred to. lt was added tbat the boat had gone off to the wreck again. One acoount say 3 a heavy sea ig running and the weather is foggy, but if tbe boat got ashore and Wbnt back again the sea is net so heavy. The fog is too dense to permit of sending a tug from Port Chalmers, but possibly the Talune, which left for the North in the afternoon, may be able to render rssistance if any is required.
