Wanganui, played to day, resulted in a victory for Wanganui by four points (a goal from a mark) to nil, after a hard fought and even game. ' Wanganui attacked in the early part 1 of the first spell, in which Craig kicked a goal from a mark. In tbe second spell Auckland had slightly the better of the play. Near the end of the game Kiernan had a penalty kick in front of the Wanganui goal, but failed to convert, the game ending amidst tremendous excitement without further score.
