Telegraph Press Association Copyright Sydney, August 29. Tbe Assembly appointed a Select Committee to enquire into a statement made public by Rev. Woolls Rutledge, that Mr Hall, Acting Statistician, was unable to obtain reemployment in the public service until he joined the Catholic Church, that immediately upon his doing so, he was employed at a salary of JBIOOO a year.
