Tegelptah.Prees Association Copyngh' Sydney January 5. The cycling carnival was continued to-night. There was another big attendance. The most interesting items were the half-mile handicap, which was won by Major Taylor in 57 seconds, Boidi filling the second place in his qualifying heat. Major Taylor, from five yards behind scratch, covered the distance in 56 l-sth seconds, a world's competition record. Don Walker was blocked, and failed to win his heat, but took his revenge, winning the international half-mile. Major Taylor, being hopelessly blocked in his heat, failed to qualify.
