• Telegraph Press Association Copyright Oamaru, December 14. At a meeting of the Oamaru branch of the Farmers' Union it was resolved to urge the Government to discontinue co-operative works from now till the end of April, in order that men may be available for farm work. A deputation is to wait on the Minister for Lands on his arrival in Oamaru to make the request. One farmer stated that he had lost £200 one year through his. inability to procure hands to carry out his work. ____________
