The legal gentleman contends that if the official declaration of reduction is set aside, it will mean that no valid vote of the people will have been taken, and as no license can be granted until such a poll has been held, not a single license could be granted in Dunedin in June next. But, the opinion of the legal gentleman notwithstanding, we venture to think that an Order in Council would set the matter right.
