Mr See sent the following reply : "I cordially thank you for your telegram, and regard your proposal as a fresh evidence of the goodwill existing between the people of New Zealand and this State. There are, however, such ample resources available, and the prospects of the future in consequence of the recent rainfalls are so satisfactory that the Government anticipate no difficulty in meeting all requirements.
