CONCILIATION DEADLOCK.

Telegraph, Press Association Copyright Auckland, June 11. A deadlock has occurred at the Conciliation Board in regard to the appointment of a Chairman in place of the Rev Mr Collins (resigned . The labour members nominated the Rev Mr Burgess, but the others insisted that the chairman should be a lawyer or other person with legal or commercial qualifications to adjudicate on points submitted to the chairman's ruling. They offered to accept one of ten names they submitted, but the labour members declined. A similar deadlock occurred on a previous occasion when the Government appointed the Rev. Mr Collins, the nominee of the labour representatives.
