PEACE THANKSGIVING SERVICES.

The thanksgiving service at St. Paul's was attended by the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Connaught, and many other royalties. There was tremendous enthusiasm along the route, which was thronged with great crowds. The Cathedral was crowded immediately it was opened, and thousands were unable to gain admission. The Bishop of London preached. His text was, "The Blessings of Peace." During the course of his sennou, hG said that the colonies' assistance had welded the Empire's union, which will never break. Sydney, June 8. Peace thanksgiving services were held in most of the churches to-day. A large congregation at St. Andrew's Cathedral included the Governor, Commandant, and mauy returned soldiers. Wellington, June 8. Thanksgiving services were held at all the city and suburban churches to-day. The Garrison Corps attended the service at St. Peter's, there being 701 officers and men on parade. His Excellency the Governor was present. Ashbuhtox, June 8. At all the churches to-day special services were held in commemoration of peace, and thanksgiving hymns were sung. The " Te Deum " was sung in the Roman Catholic Church by order of the Bishop. Auckland, June 8. Thanksgiving services for peace were held in nearly all the churches to-day, most of the preachers making reference to the conclusion of the war. The congregations were large. Masterton, This Day. Thanksgiving services for peace were held in all places of worship here yesterday, very large congregations in every instance. Maktox, This Day. Services in all the churches yesterday were devoted to special thanksgiving for peace. There were large congregations. Palmekston N., This Day. Peace thanksgiving services were conducted in all churches here yesterday. Large congregations were present in every instance. Yesterday thanksgiving services were held in all the churches in Feilding in recognition of peace being proclaimed. There were large congregations present.
