Aquatic Championship of the World.

(Per Press Association.) London, Sept. 9. The match between Nuttall and Ernest Cavill for tke Championship of the world and £50 a side, swum at Doncaster, was witnessed by great crowds. Nuttall forged ahead from the start, and at 300 yards, where Nuttall was leading by twenty-five yards, the Australian gave np. Nuttall finished easily, beating the record for the distance. Time, 6min 88sec. Nuttall won the toss, and selected the right hand side of the baths. He was quickest away and when 30 yards bad been covered he led Cavill by two yards By the time the fourth length of the baths had been negotiated he had increased his advantage to six lengths and kept steadily increasing it until Cavill retired. Prior to the raoe the betting was 6 to 4 on Nuttall.
