A meeting of the Cricket Association Committee appointed to consider the letter from the* JVlivryiebone Club with reference to the "follow on " rule, reported in ! favor of its retention, and that thu option to " follow on " be lelt wiih t.hn side which has obtained the highest number of runs in the first innings. The Committee were of the opinion they were not invited to express views regarding the rules for closing the innings, inasmuch as a modification of that rule wns only sug> gested in the event of the " foliow on " rule being abolished. At a meeting of the Committee of tbe New Zealand Cricket Council to night, Mr Wauklyu moved that the minute regarding the substitution of the Now Zraland match for the Cauterbuy match, should be expunged. Mr Wilding (chairman) said the Canterbury Association had voluntarily offered to forego this match, and the Council could only accept the offer. Members of the Feilding Cricket Club are reminded that all subscriptions must be paid before Ist December, otherwise defaulters will be posted through the Sporta Protection Association. Pending a new Treasurer being appointed, Mr Stewart will receive subscriptions. The following team will represent Colyton in their match against Rongotea on Saturday next, tbe 21st inst, at Colyton : — J., W.,and D. Entwisle, G. and C. Millan, G. Simpson, C. Burnett, L. E. Reade, Gibson, J. Mexted and Rose. Emergencies— R. Simpson and R. Woodman. The following team will represent Feilding against Palmerston, at Feilding, on Saturday next : — Bartholomew (2), Morsehead, Hill, Clayton, Moore, Robinson, Stewart, Kebbell, P. Giesen.H. P. Lance. Emergencies— Terry and Huddlestone. The match will start at 11 sharp and all players are requested to be punctual.
