Feilding Library Committee.

1 0 ■ The Feilding Library Committee met last evening, Mr 3. H. Stevens in the chair. The Librarian's report showed that 337 books had been issued during; the month. It waa decided to procuro fuel, and to grant the Librarian's request to close the book lending department from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, buc to re-open from 7 to 8 p.m. The chairman announced a gift to the Library from C. L. Maclean, Esq., of two volumes of Budeer's statutes of N,Z., a handsome model of a ship from Mrs Jus. Wilson, and of the past three years' statutes of N.Z. from the Premier, who also stated that all future statutes would be supplied to the Library free. Votes of thanks to Mrs Wilson and Mr Maclean were passed. Resolved, That the Secretary insure the books for £100. Resolved, That other two volumes of Badger's statutes of N.Z. be purchased, thus completing the statutes from 1842 to 1895.
