Total, 281. Mold took 3 wickets for 109,' Briggs 2 for 51, Baker 2 for 13, Hallam 1 for 50. When stumps were drawn Lancashire had Jost 2 wickets for 64. Ward, c Jones b Trumble, '61 ; Paul, not out, 20; Baker, c Iredale b Trumble, 0 ; Tindall, not out, 1 ; extras, 2. May 29. Hill knocked up his score in excellent style, and his placing the ball was much admired. Gregory played a lucky innings, and was missed three times. Iredale opened nervously, but after settling down gave a brilliant display of his hitting powers and made six fours in succession. Kelly and he made 94 in 70min. The wicket played well, and the fielding of the Home team was brilliant throughout. The innings occupied four hours. The Lancashire team are all out for 168.
