Coolgardie Goldfields.
(Per Press Association.) Perth, Nov. 27. The Premier, speaking at Coolgardio, said the Government intended to test the goldfields for artesian water, and if not obtainable in sufficient quantities, they favoured bringing it from the sea- I board. Such a scheme, he said, would supply the entire fields at a cost of six j million sterling, but the Government would not stop at so large an expenditure if they saw that it was really required. ] He hoped in the near future the entire belt of the auriferous country would be embraced by a netwerk of railways. |
