The New Cure for Diphtheria.
The Colonial Secretary has received the following letter from Dr. F. Wallace Mackenzie, hon. secretary of the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Medical Association : — •« I am instructed to inform you that the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Medical Association has passed a vote of thanks to the New Zealand Government for its wonderful forethought in getting out a supply of diphtheria anti-toxin. The new remedy arrived just in time to meet a severe epidemic of diphtheria at the Upper Hutt and Petone, and has already been the means of saving several cases which would almost certainly have proved fatal without it." — Times.
