: — :•- ; (Per Press Association.) .London, May 10. The Canadian Government has in--1 vited the Hon. Mr Ward to visit Ottawa to discuss matters of general interest as between Canada and New Zealand. Mr Ward accepts the invitation conditionally on his engagements permitting it. Mr Ward has informed the Colonial Party of the House of Commons that New Zealand desired a naval station, in view of the results of the Japanese war. Sir Charles Dilke considered the station in Sydney was sufficient.
