Mr Ward accepts the invitation conditionally on his engagements permitting it. Mr Ward has informed the Colonial Party of the House of Commons that New Zealand desired a naval station, in view of the results of the Japanese war. Sir Charles Dilke considered the station in Sydney was sufficient.
