Colyton School Examination.
The Colyton school has been rather unfortunate this year, having had three teachers in charge since the Christmas holidays. The children seem to have felt the effects of this variety, chiefly in the more difficult parts of arithmetic and grammar, and in their examination on Friday last they were unable to do so well as last year. The examination was conducted by Inspectors Bindon and Milne. Following arc the names of those who passed : — Standard V. — Maud Woodman. Standard IV. — Janet Stewart, Agnes Lynch. Standard lll.— Violet Pleasants, Annie Simpson, Lily Young, Jane Mitchell, Ethel Hill. Standard II.— Boys: J. Adsett, W. Flower, S. Mexted, J. Lankshear, J. Young. Girls : M. Lynch, L. Stewart, E. Fisher, A. Lankshear, E. Smith. Standard I. — Boys : S. Fisher, L. Pleasants, J. Laing, J. Bray, J. Power, A. Entwisle, R. Laiug. Girls : E. Lankshear, L. Gar lick, A. Stewart, I. King, C. Laing, I. Laing.
