Football Notes.

A match between the Feilding 11. ami Pirate 11. was played on the Oval yesterday, the former team winning- by 7 points to 3. In the first spell Treseder scored a mark for Feilding in front of the posts, and Allan piaced a pretty goal. In the s?cond spell Heard scored for the local team, but Allan failed to increase it. There was a lot of gire and take play, when Palmerston rallied and made things warm for a time, and they eventually scored from a line out. Evans scored but the kick being- a difficult one Nash failed 5o increase it. 'J ime was shortly after called. The Palmerston Half - HolidayClub defeated Awahuri at the lafter place yesterday aftemo n, by a try to nil. The Red Stars journeyed to Palmerston yesterday and had a contest with the Palmerston 11. whom they defeated by 33 points to 12. The game was rather a hollow one, and . the Stars playing one man short had ' it pretty well their own way. The [ following scored for Feilding, viz .— . W. Smith (3), Ro?ornan, A.
