Live Stock Export.

(Per Press Association.) .(Jhiustciiurcii, May 8. Some of the Australian cattle on board the Perthshire, now in Lyttelton, have developed sickness which resembled pleuro pueumouia. Accordingly, on Tuesday the Stock Department gave instructions to have the vessel isolated as far as possible. One of the animals died yesterday, and Mr Holderness, Chief Inspector of Stock, is awaiting instructions from Wellington as to whether a post mortem is to be held on the animal. The captain of the ship will not allow the animal to bo opened on board, and the authorities, fearing that pleuro pneumonia may have been the cause of death, do not want to have the carcase landed. The matter stands at present, and as the steamer leaves for London to-nior-row, little time remains for action.
