New Zealand's Credit.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, May 7. The Daily Telegraph, in a commendatory article on the system of land taxation in New Zealand, says that despite the efforts made to belittle the Colony's credit, British gold has been showered upon the Colony three fold in excess of the amount asked for. Instead of tear being shown regarding the stability of New Zealand, there has been sensational competition for her securities among money-lenders, which made the unexampled success of her loan the most dramatic and significant event in the recent history of Australian finance.
