Timber Export Industry.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney March 19. Mr Gavin Scotfc has returned from his visit to Europe, made in the interests of the timber trade. He is convinced that there is a magnificent market open for Australian timber, especially for sleepers and paving blocks. The samples shown by him created a good impression and were admitted to be superior to American and other timbers. He has secured several trial orders. He strongly advocates Government assistance in developing the business.
