» . (Per Press Association.) London, May 14. Mr Finoh, replying to the remarks of Sir \V. Harcourt, declared that Australian Land Laws had increased the squatters' rents, attacked the rights of property, brought about disaster, and created the unemployed difficulty Vienna, Maj 14. The tragic suicide of two young children is reported in the city. A boy aged nine, and a girl two years older, owing to bad reports sent to their parents by their schoolmaster, clasped hands together and committed suicide by drowning themselves in the Danube A letter left by the children contained the words : " There is no happiness in life." Sofia, May 14. Prince Ferdinand and VI. StauibouJoff, Premier and Minister of the Interior of the Bulgarian Government, are sup porting a scheme for a defence alliance with Turkey. It is reported that the proposal is to abolish the Customs fron ier, and attach Bulgarian officers to the Turk ish army. _____ ___
