(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. The judgement of the court on the loss of the Kiwi was that the vessel was well found. Master exercised every case and followed the usual course and no blame was attached to him The bench added a recommendation that a survey be made of the station landings on the east coast of the North Island. In the case of the Stortnbird which touched a sand bank off Waikanae, the court found the master guilty of grave default in not checking the compass see ing that he knew they were likely to be affected by the work in which the vessel bad been en^a£jed. Hib certificate was not dealt with but Captain Chambers was ordered to pay costs 117 17s.
