Reckless Use of Fire-arms
A WOMAN SHOT IN THE JAW. (PKB PBRSS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, This Day. An example of the evil result of tho reckless use of fire-arms occurred last night with some women in a house in Arthur street, one of whom was nursing a baby on her lap, which was playing with a revolver. The mother took it up, pointed it at the window, and snapped it off without result. Her sister then had a try, aiming at a doorway, and shot Miss Bowater, a young woman who was entering. The bullet struck her on the jaw, inflicting a nasty wound, and she had to be taken to the hospital.
