Jubilee at Palmerston
«, (PEB UNITKD PBKBS ASSOCIATION. J Palmerston, This Day, At a meeting held last night to arrange a plan for celebrating the Jubilee, it was decided to orect a hospital at Palmers ton, the nearest being at Wanganui which is 60 miles distant. A strong committee, consisting of members of the Borough Council, and Mannwa(u Road Board, was formed to carry out the proposal and take steps to raise the necessary Funds. In the afternoon a meeting of ladies tras held to dixems the project of the Queen's Fund, and the matter was taken up by a committee of ladies.
