Boxing Day Sports

A general meeting ci those interested in the Boxing Day Sports was held in the Public Hall on Tuesday evening. D. H. Maearthur, Esq. M.H.R., presided. He explained the object of the meeting, which was to receive the report and balance sheet of Last year, and elect officers for the ensuing year. He remarked on the smallness of the attendance, but looked on that as an evidence of the confi'ti&nce felt by the public of Feilding in those to whom they had entrusted the ! management of the affair. He hoped to see more Feilding men and lads coming to the front as winners. Several of them were making gqod progress, and he hoped the day was not far distant when they could hold their own against even professional athletes. The secretary then read th« report and balance sheet which were adopted. The following officers were then elected : — MrE. Goodbehere, Secretary; Mr H. L. Sherwill, Treasurer; Mr G. W.
