OBITUARY

MR ALBERT HENRY ADAMS TUAKAU RESIDENT PASSES The death of a well-known Tuakau resident, Mr Albert Henry Adams, occurred at his home George Street, Tuakau, on Friday last. Born at -Thames 74 years ago, Mr Adams was a son of the late Mr and Mrs William Adams, pioneer settlers of the Hunua district. After a short stay in -Hunua the family moved to Thames. Educated at Thames, Mr Adams,- after leaving school, was apprenticed to the drapery trade. Some years later he opened a business in Karangahake and subsequently did likewise at Hamilton and Dargavillc. In 1920 fie disposed of his business at Dargaville and purchased a fruit farm at Henderson which lie conducted successfully until he sold out. He then went to live in Auckland and about seven years ago settled in Tuakau where lie remained until his death. For the last two and a half years Mr Adams had not enjoyed good health. HE is survived bv Mrs Adams, two daughters —I he Misses Clarice and Muriel Adams, of Tuakau —and two sons. Mr Reg Adams of South Africa and Mr Murray Adams, of Wellington. There are Ihree grandchildren. The burial look place at Tuakau cemetery on Saturday afternoon and was well attended, evidence of the esleem in which deceased was held. The service was conducted by the Rev. R. Nottage. while the pall hearers were Messrs M. Adams (son). S. Judd and J. Maekio (nephews) and W. Gubb (friend). Beautiful llornl emblems were numerous.

MR W. A. SIMPSON The death occurred at Green Cane, Hospital on Friday of Mr William Alexander Simpson, ol Buckland Road, Tuakau. in his 85th year. Deceased was a veteran of the Boer War and held the rank of Sergeant Major in Hie 7th and 9th New Zealand eontmrrfMit. Re is survived by Mrs Simpson. three sons and two daughters.
