ENTERTAINED
MR MERVYN BRYAN FIJNCTI ON AT GLEVEDON Clevedon hall was well filled on Thursday night when the Clevedon patriotic committee held a dance to honour Mervyn Bryan, elder son of Mr and Mrs D. M. Bryan. The music was supplied by “The Collegians.” The Rev. Geddes spoke on behalf of the residents and wished Mervyn good luck. He remarked that Mervyn was the first Clevedon boy to leave for this war, whose father, then a boy, was farewelled in the same hall to go to the J 014-18 war. (Applause). All joined in singing “For lie’s a Jolly Good Fellow,” and gave three hearty cheers. The / guest of honour suitably replied. During the evening iV>ngs were sung by Leading Aircraftman Bedford and Corporal Smith. Supper was served in the supper room. The evening was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem.
