Versatile Womenfolk.
An advertisement in the Southland Times, Invercargill, last week called for two girls to learn turning, welding. and electrical and general mechanical repair work, and there were numbers of applications for the positions, reports the Southland Times. The advertiser stated that he was surprised at the enthusiasm of the girls and their eagerness to tackle a man’s job.
