PAPAKURA CLUB A 1 >' P LIG AT 10 N G ANG ELL EI > USING SCHOOL GROUND “On behalf of Ihe Papakura League Football Club I wish lo cancel the application l'or the use of Hie playing area on Prince Edward Park. We have been granted permission lo play on the local school ground,” stated Mr A. L. Lewis, honorary secretary ol the club, in a letter lo the Papakura Borough Council meeting on Monday night. “Owing lo transport difficulties all schoolboy teams have to travel by train and Hie school ground is more convenient.” added the writer. In conclusion Ihe secretary thanked the council for past considerations, and added Rial the club hoped to have the privilege of playing on the park again when conditions became normal. The council agreed to Hie cancellation.
