Miss Jean Kirk, Papakura’s first postgirl, lias now received her ot’iicial uniform which looks particularly smart. She is doing 1 a real man's job delivering letters. She is a granddaughter' of the late Mr .lames Kirk, an old pioneer of Papakura, alter whom Kirk's bush was named.
Mr and Mrs Frank Osborne, of Railway Street Fast Papakura, have received advice by cable that their son, Leading Aircraftman Albert Osborne, lias successfully passed his examinations for Ids airman s wings, in (,anada.
Police Sergeant T. IT. Dyer, of Papakura. is on annual leave, and is being relieved by Sergeant IT. Hedlev. of Newmarket.
