PROVINCIAL WAR COUNCIL
FORMATION TO BE PROCEEDED WITH Following on the decision made by the Auckland Farmers’ Union Executive, at its meeting on the loth April, to form an Auckland Provincial War Council, application is being made for the incorporation of the new body. Its objects wilt he to press on as hard as possible with the manufacture locally of arms and equipment, the development, training and equipment of the Home Guard, and generally to do everything possible in the Auckland Province to assist in furthering the'war effort. It is hoped to unify the efforts of all those who have been active in trying to awaken the public to the need for a concerted effort to make the Home Guard an effective defence force.
