FARMERS’ UNION EXPERIMENTS WIVES BECOMING INTERESTED At last Executive meeting of the Auckland Farmers’ Union a letter was received from Mrs A. F. Gales, president of ihe Awakino Point branch of Ihe W.D.F.U., stating that her husband had brought home from last Gonferenee. a sample of the meat powder with which the Union had .been experimenting. She had tried it out in various forms and her family had all enjoyed Ihe various dishes. She considered it should prove a wonderful standby for house-wives in Britain, and offered the help of the branch, if possible, in sending a small sample to friends and relatives in England. It was decided to reply thanking Mrs Gates for her offer, and to forward a portion of the quantity at present on hand.
