TO MEET AN EMERGENCY LINES OF COMMUNICATION 4 .NO. 6 TRANSPORT COMPANY YESTERDAY’S MANOEUVRES The Waiuku, Papakura, Pukekohe .and Pokeno Sections of the No. 6 Lines of Communication Company held a full day manoeuvre yesterday. All four sections totalling. 42 trucks, six cars and one motor cyclist met at ' Waihoehoe Road, Drury, at an appointed hour. During the day the whole of the personnel present, 6fi ollicers and men carried out road reconnaisance training in small parties. Intricate orders were given and from the reports Jianded in by the parties very valuable information and data relating to detour routes, natural harbours for vehicles, etc. was compiled. The Company has now practically completed its actual road convoy training and is now concentrating on night parades. It is intended to hold a lull company parade in Pukekohe within the next six weeks. The Company is' rapidly approaching full establishment requiring only 25 more recruits. Difficulty is being experienced in obtaining motor cyclists and as these men are a most important part of the Company any :men available for the position are requested to urgently contact Lieut. P. R. Mills, Pukekohe.
