A CHARMING WOMAN I FLIGHT-MEUT. BEST'S EXPERIENCE j TALKED WITH HER MAJESTY Flight-Lieutenant E. V. Best, son of Mr and Mrs A. Best, of Bombay, writing home recently states:— ■‘About, a fortnight ago I had to take a Stirling to . for inspection by I lire new Minister of Aircraft. ■•When we got there we discovered I hat their Majesties, the King and Queen, and [he two Princesses were I coming as well. All the crows were j presented to the Royal party, and t . ( j had about ten minutes' talk to the j Queen. She is a charming woman /and absolutely natural. The King j was very busy talking to my second | pilot who had received ills D.F.C. from ' the King two days before. The elder Princess is a lovely girl and the younger is just reaching the amusing stage. “We had some anxious moments during Hie fly past, wondering if the undercarriage would come up. which fortunately it did, and we clocked the highest- speed ever clocked in a Slirline. over miles per hour ”
